The community is served by the Capistrano Unified School District and educates children from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. The school district is the 12th largest in the state and boasts many Distinguished and Blue Ribbon schools. The district also has a higher graduation rate than the state average. There are three elementary and one middle school in the community and high school students attend school in nearby San Juan Capistrano.

Homes in the community are less than 20 years old and high end single family homes, condominiums and townhouses, as well as undeveloped residential properties. Some of the properties include a guest house or in-law apartment. Residences are located in neighborhoods and villages. All property includes off street parking for multiple vehicles. There is one gated community accessible by residents of that community for those who desire the extra level of privacy.

History

The community comprises 4,000 acres and construction began in 1999. The property was originally a cattle ranch and was once the largest remaining working ranch in all of Orange County. The community was developed in the village concept and within each village developers built neighborhoods. Most of the villages have a community clubhouse, parks, swimming pools and passive open space. The community also has a dedicated dog park, private water park, hiking trails and a shopping district.
